If you can’t code, write books and blogs, record videos and podcasts. — Naval Ravikant, The Almanack of Naval Ravikant
I blog to express my thoughts.
I blog to reflect on ideas.
It’s my way of documenting my writing journey.
That was then.
Now we have audio.
Not the music kind.
Podcasts are not radio.
But the idea was inspired by this mass medium.
The difference–it lives and breathes on the Internet.
How to start one?
You need a name, a title for your podcast.
I had one. My wife gave it a name.
Next, think of a theme, topics to discuss.
Put that into the podcast’s description.
Now you need a logo—just fire up Canvas and choose one that you like.
Publish all these information on a podcasting service like Anchor.
You’re ready!
All you need is to start recording.
Get someone to talk to. Have a conversation.
Give it a few minutes; but be ready with some questions.
Capture that audio moment.
Fire up your audio editor. Slap in some intro and outro music.
Publish again!
You’re done.
You are now a podcast(er).
Here are some quick tips on how to make your voice sound better:
NPR also offers more detailed guide on how to start a podcast.
Very useful.
